Getting Around

The Hakuba shuttle stops right at the Powder Temple Hotel front door. Using this shuttle you can pretty much get to anywhere in the Hakuba Valley, including the mountains.

The timetable and map for the Hakuba Valley shuttles are available here. Our stop is Misorano Cultured. The timetable and map for shuttles that service the Happo-One area can be found here

If your'e like us and don't like buses we have 2 room rates that include the use of our 7 seat van or our subaru wagon, both are all wheel drive, have gear racks and snow tyres, they are intended for local use only, if your interested message us.

The closest mountains to the Powder Temple are Hakuba 47, Hakuba Goyru and Happo One (pronounced o-ne). A little further a field is Iwatake, Cortina and Tsugaike Kogen. There are also a couple of other snow fields around if you would like to go exploring.

Although you are able to get around quite easily by shuttle, hiring a car is an attractive option if you would like a little more freedom.

There is two local rental agencies if your going more upmarket than our budget vehicles, Windy Kobeya  has a range of small cars all the way through to 10 seater vans, all of which are 4 wheel drive and come standard with winter tyres. They can be booked directly through their website - http://www.windy-kobeya.com/car-rental/

Another alternative located at the bottom of street is Freedom Rentals: https://freedomhakuba.com/

Both companies are notoriously slow to reply off season so don't expect a swift reply.
